Creating a Successful Internship Program is a two (2) hour interactive workshop for employers who want to create a successful internship work experience for both the intern and the company. With sufficient preparation, you can create well functioning internship programs that will leverage the knowledge and skills of your intern to grow your organization.
Hosting an intern offers your company a low risk, cost effective way to host new talent. With the RIC’s employer workshop you will understand the benefits of hosting an intern and explore the traits of a successful internship program. You will learn how to use the Regional Internship Center to find an intern that is the best fit for your organization, starting with writing an effective position description.
Not only do employers who attend Creating a Successful Internship Program on June 14th get a chance to learn the ins-and-outs of creating an internship program that provides a WIN for the intern and the employer, they also get a special introduction to the Good Grief Center for Bereavement Support!
The Good Grief Center (GGC) is a community based non-profit and the region’s first and only center dedicated exclusively to bereavement support. Its service spans Western Pennsylvania–as well as any part of the English-speaking world over the phone and through its website–www.goodgriefcenter.com. GGC also offers fee-based services for businesses and organizations, and a signature product. For example “Grief in the Workplace” is a program that includes educational sessions, interactive workshops, and support sessions for corporations and other organizations.
Is your organization or company ready to create an internship program that is comprehensive, sustainable, mutually-beneficial, and saves time and energy? Join us on June 14th!
