Ok, so here’s the deal. . .

My boss lied to me. He said I’d get to code all day, and, when I wasn’t coding, I’d be making plans about coding, helping other coders code and/or making the weekly beer run.

Right. Hook, line and sinker.

Turns out, we spend a fair amount of time writing. There’s project pitches, documentation, blogging, project copy, press releases, ad copy and more. Lots more. I do my best to stay on top of it, but, as you might guess, I’d rather be coding. So, please, if you’re into writing—if the written word gets you out of bed in the morning—come write stuff for us. For me. Please.

We need an intern with an interest in writing for the creative agency. Sometimes that means website copy, other times it might mean ad copy for Google AdSense. Regardless of the project, we need your words to be concise and correct. Sometimes an ad is four words, and we—you—need to know which four words are right. Also, you’d need to know what right means. It’s all very contextual.

In addition to ad copy and the like, you’ll be reviewing the efforts of others within the office. Those efforts include technical writing, e.g. project proposals and documentation, blogging (macro and micro) and I may yell at you from across the office (from time to time) to inquire whether a button should be labeled “Next” or “Continue.” You’ve an opinion on that, right?
